Michelle Smith

I am Michelle Smith, and I have been a teacher at Lawrence County High School for 13.5 years. I graduated from Lawrence County in 2002 and began courses at Copiah Lincoln Community College, later transferring to The University of Mississippi where I earned a Bachelor's in Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental Music. My primary instruments are flute and piano.

        At LCHS, I teach General Music, and I am the assistant band director for Marching, Concert, and Jazz bands. I also served as assistant Choir Director for the past two years. I am currently the chairperson for the elective courses, and I serve on the courtesy committee. 

        I have been married for 11 years to my husband, Nick Smith, and we have a 10 year old son, Carter.
