Tawanna C. Thornton. Ed.S.
Message from the Principal:

Education is about people. It is about caring, serving, and preparing people. My personal belief is that we must see the person first. Then we can educate the person.

At LCHS our vision is to equip all students to complete graduation requirements, to be college or career ready, and to function as successful adult members of society. This is fairly broad goal which encompasses the entire school program because learning isn't just about academics but also about learning to live and work in society in order to have a positive effect on the world around you.

When our students are successful, we are successful. With that in mind, we seek the success of every single student. This won't look the same for any two students. We want our students to dream big and learn to create the path they need for their own individual success.

As we begin the 2023 - 2024 school year, we do so with past successes in mind to help spur us on.  We want to succeed at making a positive impact in the life of every student. We hope every student finds a place at LC where he/she fits in and thrives.

LCHS offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to be successful both in and out of the classroom. I encourage each student to try something new, to get involved, and spread your wings. Come to school expecting to learn something new, create something new, and/or have a positive impact on someone else each and every day.

Parents, if you need to reach me for any reason, my email address is below.  If you email me with questions or concerns, I will do my best to get back in touch with you by the end of the next school day.  You can also leave a message for me in the front office.
